Triumph Released Findings On Women and Their Bras
Well the results are out for the Triumph Shape Debate and the results only confirm what most of us big bra ladies already know. So what did our big bra manufacturing friend find out in their survey of over 5000 women around the globe?
The study by COIN for Triumph International drives home the fact that breast and bodies are always on women’s minds. The survey gave a great insight into how us women perceive our body image and how our culture, habits and social normality’s shape our attitudes towards underwear.
One of the interesting facts in the survey which I am sure that most of you already know, but now it is proven that the average women today is closer to a size 16 than a size 12, and the most common bought bra size in the UK is a DD! That is a pretty big bra if you ask me.
The studies showed that the body shape or Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren the hourglass figure is dying out and modern women’s bodies are now becoming increasingly apple-shape.
For centuries women with thin waists and curvy figures have been the goddess of perfection in men’s eyes. Half of the British people surveyed still think that the hourglass figure is the most attractive. The increasing apple shaped figures (weight carried around the middle) is ranking behind Pear-shaped women (Larger hips and Thighs), rectangular (no curves) and boyish figures. This is interesting to note since the apple shaped figure is on the rise around the world.
The average British women’s chest and hips are 4cm larger than the ladies back in the 1950’s , this is further confirmed by the release of Panache KK harmony big bra in may to cope with increasing bust sizes in women. (visit full article here on the Harmony Big Bra).Form the 1950’s our weight has increase from 62Kg to 65Kg and we are not 5 cm taller than we where in the 1950’s.
More than 3/4 of British women feel that having a beautiful, sexy bust is important (77%) despot eight out of ten women (78%) saying they have problems with their breasts. I thought that point was interesting the survey as I know that on average it was proven that every eight out of ten women wear the wrong size bra. I wonder if that is the reason why that such a large pre-portion of women are having problems with their breasts.
In japan almost all bras are padded because it is considered indecent or taboo in some parts of Japan to have a nipple show through!
69% of Italian women will wear a sexy bra when others can admire it.
British women will wear a bra out of social norm and habit, but don’t wear underwear as a major factor in improved physical appearance as compared to France wear the main reason for wearing a bra is to receive compliments.
in China surprisingly to me 99% of women consider a beautiful busts to be the highest importance overall!
Well ladies what do you think of the results? Do you think that your bust size is larger than that of your mother or grand mother? or is your body more a apple-shape? or maybe you have problems with your breasts?
I would love to hear your feedback and what your think about the survey
